For all who lend a helping hand (or foot, or anything in between)

Special thanks to Mike and Middle Island Rental in Middle Island, NY for continued support whenever we need equipment that we cannot afford to buy!!

Special thanks to Maxine – your generous donation came just in time for us to purchase a new chest freezer to store the foods needed to care for the many hawks and owls who live with us, both on a temporary and a permanent basis. We will also be able to build a bigger “special needs” cage for Harry Hawk, who was permanently disabled when part of his wing was shot off.

Special thanks to Dr. David Kolins for providing space in his own home for recuperating wildlife, hours of his personal time to do physical therapy on a deer, amazing surgery on a Sugar Glider, diagnostic skills and medical care on several abandoned alligators, and a list too long for this newsletter of selfless volunteer work for our organization. We are also thankful that a gas main explosion and fire that caused serious damage to the New Hyde Park Animal Hospital in September spared all the staff and animals who were in the hospital at the time.

We would like to thank the Regency Forest Pet Cemetery in Middle Island, for providing services to allow our wild ones a dignified passing over the Rainbow Bridge.

Thanks to the following companies for product donations:

Bayer Animal Health Division

Baxa Corporation

Tyco Healthcare

Stop N. Shop of Medford & Coram

Pumpkin Patch Farmstand in Yapank

For monetary support:

Pfizer Inc.

Sam’s Club

Maggio’s Carting

Special thanks to Dr. Littman, Ridge Veterinary Hospital in Ridge, for allowing us to drag in all kinds of big and small, sometimes nasty, often parasite ridden critters for x-rays and treatments. And to his wonderful staff, who all participate by holding, washing, cleaning up after and looking up info on the many unusual patients, even the ones that share some of their “bugs”.

Special thanks to Bob Ellsworth, for being our Santa every year, even though he may get growled at, peed on or scratched. As the Pet Photos with Santa is our only fundraising event this year, we hope you came out out with your pets (and children – Bob loves children) and got a lovely memento of this holiday season, and supported our animal welfare programs. We hope Bob knows how much we appreciated his time and his lap.
